Walkthrough

1. Enter Shadow Mithril Mines, and go to the hidden Waterfall

   Go to the Mayor's house in Shadowfall,  go up, and rub mirror, write down the words Go west out of shadowfall, and then the first north exit chant <words you wrote down> go gate n;w;climb,w;move stones;hole n;e;se;se;e;e;;ne;ne;ne;n;n;n;e; Now you are at waterfall

   
   

2. Go waterfall, up, then all south
   1. Note that at this point, you will have to go swimming.
   2. Also that you cannot come back the same way, but have to go up again via Perelan and Magnussen's Tower
3. down,south (into water), east, hidden east, north, then all up
4. Here you find Young Man
   1. He will tell you about his girlfriend who has gotten captured by green creatures
5. Go back down, south, then follow the river eastwards (6e,4n,4s)
6. When you drop into a lake, then go east (approx 4-6 rooms) until you are on shore. You are now at the bottom of Magnussen's Tower.
7. Go back up to Perelan, then back to Shadowfall, and back into the Shadow Mithril Mines
8. Go back to the waterfall, and go
9. waterfall, up, all south
10. down and southwest, down,down,west,up and are at a dead end
11. 'move slab' to open a hole into the Gremlins lair (you need more than 18 str for this)

    
    

    The Gremlins make you confused and give you wimpy, and cause you to attack your friends.  They also make you unhold, and drop equipment. Stay alert!!!

    
    

    You will need someone with lockpicking skills, or the spell Knock to open locked doors

    
    

12. Go se,se,sw
13. cast knock at southeast
14. listen moaning (not sure if this is neccessary)
15. go southeast,
16. listen moaning
17. cast knock at west
18. go west, search (should find a slimy chest)
19. cast knock at slimy chest and get things from it (sometimes Boots of Twilight)
20. go east
21. listen moaning
22. cast knock at east
23. go east
24. search, 
25. at this point Alisa should show up, and leave the lair
26. Go back to the Young Man
27. Circle around through Perelan again as before
28. Go back to shadow mithril mines, then into Vilmiud
29. Find the sergeant in the center of the town to solve the quest.
30. Rewards Emerald Sword
31. At this point the quest is solved, you can still go back to the Young Man, and he will make a comment that "maybe you are wondering why he is still there

From waterfall, up, then southwards both for Young Man and for the Gremlins Area

The edges of this razor sharp broad sword glisten as you look over its smooth surface. Leather
straps have been wrapped around the 'T' shaped handle of the sword, and in its hilt is a small 
emerald stone.

Quotes

First time at young man

Young Man says: You look like someone who might be able to help me.
Young Man says: You see, my girlfriend and I got ambushed by a group of angry
                green monsters over by the waterfall. They were small but there
                were like twenty of them so I couldn't fight them off. They
                carried Alisa away as I lay in a heap on the ground. I saw them
                heading south before I passed out. Perhaps you could find their
                lair Farelid and free her from their clutches.  If you could I
                would be forever in your debt.
Young Man searches around the room for something.

Young Man says: How could I be so stupid to bring her out here.

Young Man mumbles to himself.

Young Man says: Their lair has to be around here somewhere.

Young Man says: My dads gunna kill me, not to mention Alisa's.

When you find Alisa

The pile of bones in the corner rattles, then you see a small figure emerge from under them.

Alisa exclaims: Oh thank goodness you've arrived!

Alisa says: I've been trapped in here so long that I began to fear I'd never get back home. Now thanks to you zzz I can return home to my family.

The young lady dashes through the doorway and out of sight.

Returning to Young Man after having found Alisa

Young Man says: So you've found Alisa! Thats great I don't know what I would have done without your help Arkasi.
Young Man says: Return back to Vilmiud and see my brother Sergeant Crommwell. I'll tell him to give you something you could use.
Young Man says: I must go now and see how Alisa is doing and apologize for getting her into this mess.
Young Man waves before disappearing down the cavern.

Coming to Sergeant Crommwell

Sergeant Crommwell says: Bye None, You've Done Welle Arkasi Ine Returninge Alisa Back Home. I'm Sure
                         Jonathane Ande Herself Have Some Explaininge To Do.
Sergeant Crommwell says: Verily, Thise Ise Mye Owne Personale Sword. It Usede To Be At Mye Side Ase
                         I Adventurede The Knowne World, But Now I Am Growinge Olde Ande Thise

Returning to young man after having finished the quest

Young Man says: You're probably wondering why I am still in this same spot and not in Vilmiud...
Young Man says: I just come here to think once and a while and reflect on things.  I'm glad there
                are hero's like you when guys like me get into a mess.
Young Man says: Thanks again for your help.
